According to zachxbt, the Discord channel and the platoon behind the design faded a week latterly, leaving NFT possessors holding the bag. On-chain analysis by the critic revealed that of the estimated$ generated by the design,$ was allegedly transferred to Correia’s public crypto portmanteau.
The same portmanteau was used to buy other high-value NFTs, which Correia posted on his social media accounts. Zachxbt tagged the Dubai Police, the original law enforcement where Correia lives, twittering that it’s “ sickening to see a DOX ’d strike so blatantly rug a design like this.”
Pudgy Penguins vended to Netz Capital
The platoon behind the “ Pudgy Penguins” NFT design twittered on Sunday that the collection was under new operation. Luca Netz of Netz Capital bought the design for 750 ETH, about$2.5 a million at the time of jotting.
Many months prior, the design suggested its controversial author Cole Villemain, who has been subject to questions about his once dealings in systems, comps, and other businesses.
With the purchase of the “ Pudgy Penguin” NFTs, Netz will admit all unborn royalties from secondary deals.
